Not to be criticized for waiting too long to announce a potential candidacy, J.C. has already taken care of that step and agreed to be my campaign manager in a run for the Mansion.
Go check out his blog sometime. If I had to limit myself to just reading a few blogs every day, “The Richmond Democrat” would certainly be on that list.
The best part is this cool picture of J.C., me, and an unsuspecting Greg Kallen in the background. (Photo by Corey)
The first thing I noticed over there was this photoshopped image of Virgil Goode.
Not to mention this one-liner: “Congressman Goode has taken his $90,000 in tainted campaign money and “bought” almost two hundred press releases about his generosity.”
I don’t think I have ever been “tagged,” but now, thanks to J. Sarge, J.C., Adam, Alton, and James, I have been.

As was reported here (by Chad) and here (by Ben), I did have a nice lunch with them yesterday. They went over various 2009 scenarios while I enjoyed the great meal.
Contrary to widespread rumors, Lowell and I are still on speaking terms and I have not been asked to turn in my Raising Kaine membership card.
WordPress continues to out do itself. This new blogger-like service (WordPress.com) is amazing. Why would anyone prefer Blogger over Wordpress?
I suppose the only people that will stay with Blogger now are those that have built up a lot of links to their .blogspot.com URLs or are traditionalists. The only thing they really had going for them was the price.
After a few months of using Blogger, I jumped on the WordPress train as fast as I could. Now one can have WordPress for free.
The WordPress.com admin interface is really close to the normal WordPress and only missing a few features.
This will probably be the end of Blogger as we know it.
As you all may have noticed, I am leaving the Kaine for Governor graphic up in the sidebar way too long. I have been waiting on a suitable replacement in the form of a Mark Warner for President one.
Since they have not released any yet, I decided to make my own.
It is based on his Warner for Governor ones in 2001, and as you can tell I am not that great with Photoshop. Nevertheless, feel free to steal, share, use, and so forth.
As I was reading over some of the stories from today’s confirmation hearing, I found this site that allows random users to upload video files and then share them with the world.
Here is a cool one from the AP:
