Libel Suit Against Blogger Dismissed

Over in Minnesota, a blogger that had been sued for libel recently received some good news.
Judge Timothy Blakely, dismissing the libel action, “ruled Thursday that bloggers should be held to the same standards of accountability as traditional media.”
When addressing the question of whether or not the blogger knew that the statement was false or acted in reckless disregard of truth, the Judge “pointed to evidence showing that [the blogger] ‘did enough’ to investigate his statements.”
