JJ Dinner - 2007

Brian January 5th, 2007

DPVA announced today that the keynote speaker at this year’s JJ Dinner will be Senator Barack Obama.

The JJ Dinner will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at 7 PM, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

Last year, I was able to attend the JJ Dinner and had a great time. I am still hoping to make it this year, but have not decided for certain yet.

Do you plan to attend?

    Brian,

I have watched, at a distance, the development of your professional, personal and political lives. They all seem to be progressing apace. As you know, I think the world of your co-worker, Jerry Gray. He is one of the most talented trial lawyers in this area, and maybe even the state. He is blessed with an amalgam of talents which are seldom found in a single lawyer. He has people skills, intellect, and knowledge of the law. I am sure that he is teaching you all of the stuff you need to know to be a successful trial lawyer.

I hope, and suspect that you have aspirations for running for political office in the future. I encourage you to do so. You would be a great candidate. I hereby pledge $100 to your first political campaign. We will talk about more money when the time comes.

Keep up the good work and tell Jerry that I said hello.

    Roy

P.S. I got engaged over the holidays, so I will be getting married in 2007. I am hopeful that marital bliss will be one of many things we have in common.

    Roy:

    Congratulations on your engagement.

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement.

If I ever decide to make the “jump” and run for office, you will certainly be one of the first people I seek advice and counsel from.

    Brian,

I hope to make it to the JJ Dinner, but that time of year weather can be so iffy. And it looks like VDOT will not have the resources for snow removal etc.

I’ll second Roy’s motion to draft you for political office and match his $100. Anybody else out there want Brian to run?

I probably would give $2000.00 to that Guy today. I am a married woman not looking for a good looking man like him. Kind and professional also.

    Thanks ScottCoDem.

I am still on the fence for the JJ, but today’s blizzard did nothing to help.
