Blogs United Conference

Brian August 26th, 2006

The conference in Martinsville went very well.

As always, I enjoyed meeting folks and putting names with faces. I also had a good time getting reacquainted with those I had met before, but only see at blogger functions.

Alton and the other organizers did a good job and I think their efforts were much appreciated. I thought the food and venues were excellent.

The 2009 Republican gubernatorial candidates both made appearances. Their Democratic counterparts – Sen. Creigh Deeds and Del. Brian Moran – were not able to make it. However, we did hear from Leslie Byrne and Mary Sue Terry dropped by for a little while this morning.

I am very glad I made the trip over for the event. Martinsville is a nice city and I wish I would have had more time to go exploring. I plan to make it out that way again soon.

The Martinsville Blogs United Conference was a huge success! Alton, Barnie, Anne and Mary did a first class job wining, dining, entertaining and educating the participants. We were all given a copy of Barnie Day’s book, Notes From the Sausage Fac …….

The pleasure was all mine. I hope to return to the “real” SWVA this fall. Please let me know when the leaves are most colorful and when you’ll be available to serve as tour guide.

    Brian,
As always, I enjoyed spending time with Dickenson County’s gentleman lawyer. You sir, do your County and your Party proud always.

    Thanks Alton.

I just try to follow Barnie Day’s example.

Will do. The summer has flew by, so I guess they will be turning before we know it.

And although Autumn is my favorite season, I hesitate to wish for it to come any earlier. It, and Winter, etc, come quickly enough on their own.
