I have known Mickey for several years, and can vouch for his integrity. I think it's hypocritical for the Union to criticize him for the donations. In the 1st District race, this year, they endorsed Terry Kilgore, and gave him money, over Rex McCarty, the son of a UMWA coal miner. They have also endorsed William Wampler in the past. Bowling is our nominee now, and he'll get strong support from the voters. I agree with Roy. I have known Mickey for several years, and can vouch for his integrity.

Does this sound like an act of a man in dire need of political assistance? I think not.). Mickey did what he thought was right. Fault him for it if you will, but do not characterize this as an act of political expediency.
