I think it will be a non-issue. Everyone today was saying that McGlothlin did not have the votes to win the nomination, but I am "still" waiting on official word on who won tonight.

I'm going to say yes.

When I worked the polls last November, I had the opportunity to talk to two union members; one was actually a retired member, who said "a 'lousy' (i replaced a more descriptive word) democrat is always better than a great republican."

the other, who was some kind of top assistant to Cecil Roberts, the UMWA president, made specific mention of the union wholeheartedly supporting anybody who came out in favor of unions.

So I'm going to say, yeah, almost twenty years is long enough for them to forget about the fines.

Don McGlothlin, Sr. was his uncle. Question is, will almost 20 years be enough time for the union to have forgotten about the big fines?

Cook is in. I hear he wants to run against Bowling not McGlothlin.

What does anyone hear about McGlothlin does he have a chance? The VPAP.org reports McGlothlin gave $79,000 to Jerry Kilgore(R).

I heard Russell County delegates were supporting Bowling. I'm not sure if this was before McGlothlin came out or not?

I still keep hearing James Keen's name for the democrats. According to some people in Grundy, he's still wanting to run.

This doesn't surprise me as there was talk last summer of Stump's condition. We were told to pray for him. Let's hope he can recover.

Bowling has been mentioned, but he is not sure he can run because of his work.

The word on the street, though, is that the Democratic nominee will be James Keen.

The Richlands News Press mentions Tazewell County Supervisor Dan Bowling will seek the Dem nomination as well. Will it be a competitive caucus?
