Photo Gallery

Brian January 13th, 2005

For the last few weeks I have been looking at various photo galleries to figure out which one will work best for me. I have had it with Flickr and its upload limits. It seemed like every time I wanted to upload a photo I had already exceeded my monthly limit.

After trying two or three different ones, I ended up going with Coppermine. I really like Gallery, but was having trouble getting it setup, so I just went with Coppermine.

The bad part about finally having my own gallery now is that I no longer have an excuse for not scanning the 35mm photos I have accumulated over the past few years. Thus, I guess in my spare time, I will be scanning a few hundred photos and uploading them. For this reason, I do not have many pictures in there yet, but they are forthcoming.

Here is the new photo gallery, check it out and let me know if have any suggestions or comments.

Nice gallery. I looked at using Coppermine on my site but ended up going for Simple PHP Gallery because I didn’t need the bells and whistles. I still haven’t done much to get many pictures in mine, but your gallery might encourage me. You have some gorgeous photos

That is funny, I also added a Coppermine photo gallery yesterday. How are you liking it? Do you participate in Photo Friday?
